For over 30 years, Sasse corresponded with Lutheran pastors in Australia, the United States, and around the world on topics as varied as the nature of the Sacrament or of the Church, mission, church history, the nature of Scripture, and ecumenical issues (especially unification efforts in the Lutheran Church and world Christianity). Many of the letters are available here for the first time in English.
“The following lines and the letter, which, God willing, are to follow this one are addressed to Lutheran pastors . . . whose hearts bleed whenever they see the condition in which the Lutheran Church of our day and of our world finds itself.”
